JAWAN Movie Release On 7th September Advance Booking Started !

SRK fever has yet again gripped Kashmir as the valley’s lone multiplex cinema is witnessing enormous booking of tickets ahead of the release of ‘Jawan’.

Directed by Atlee, Sharukh Khan and Nayanthara starrer Jawan is all set to release on Thursday across India. The movie also features south superstar Vijay Sethupathi and Deepika Padukone in cameo.

The advance booking of ‘Jawan’ opened on Friday morning and it seems that the fans are eager to witness the first show of this mega Bollywood movie.

A cursory look at the Inox app shows that multiplex will have housefull shows of the movie on Thursday and Friday.

Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported that the tickets for the following days are also selling like hotcakes as nearly 50 percent seats have been booked for Saturday and Sunday shows.

Vijay Dhar, owner of the INOX Cinema theatre said ‘Jawan’ is witnessing a ‘good’ response in Srinagar as advance bookings are coming in huge numbers.

“When the picture is good and people like it. So far, Thursday’s show is houseful and we hope the tickets will be sold out till Sunday,” he said.

Dhar said SRK is very much revered in the valley, which he said was evident with enormous response during the release of ‘Pathan’.

“SRK is a mega Bollywood star and Kashmiris love him. People belonging to all age groups book tickets to watch his movie. Pathan, last time was a big surprise as people queued up to watch the movie. Even ‘Oppenheimer’ was also successful for us as it recorded housefull shows for days together,” he said.

Post Pathan success, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a special reference to Jammu & Kashmir, where he said that the cinema halls are running housefull after a very long time.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan trailer gave a glimpse of his raw world where the superstar claimed, “Jab main villain banta hoon naa!…” Well it seems like he has indeed turned into a monster at the Box Office with Day 1 advance booking getting a record breaking number overseas. The US & UK advance booking for the film’s opening are ensuring great business.

According to the latest reports, Shah Rukh Khan’s Atlee film had sold over 26K tickets worth $400K, and the film is trending much better than SRK’s previous release, Pathaan, hinting at the possible havoc he is about to create statistically at the US box office.

According to Nishit Shaw’s trade analysis, Jawan might be the first Bollywood film to register around $5M+ collection as its opening box office overseas, despite the film releasing between the week and without any festival period around!

Coming to the US sales, Jawan has already sold tickets worth $401,755 for more than 2000 shows on day 1. With four days left until the film’s release, it seems like Shah Rukh Khan is eyeing all the records made by him, with Pathaan making sure that he turns into the monster he promised with the film.

The boost in Jawan box office advance booking after the trailer of the film was released is a testimony to the fact that the audiences are waiting with bated breaths to witness SRK unleash his massy and raw avatar on screen.

As per trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, ‘Jawan’ has already sold a staggering 2.32 lakh tickets across India in advance, a number that testifies to Shah Rukh Khan’s huge fan base.

Advance bookings for Jawan have already reached an astonishing ₹16.93 crore, as per Sacnilk. Koimoi’s recent estimates point to the film nearly touching the 18.5-crore mark set by Gadar 2 for opening-day advance bookings. Jawan still has ample time to catch up as it is scheduled to release on September 7.

In the National Capital Region (NCR), the movie has garnered a whopping ₹2.32 crore with a real occupancy rate of 22%. A total of 997 shows have been slated, with 120 almost full and 167 filling fast. Mumbai follows closely with ₹1.53 crore in gross advance bookings and 829 scheduled shows.

Bengaluru and Hyderabad also show considerable enthusiasm, with ₹1.29 crore and ₹1.21 crore in gross bookings respectively. Notably, Hyderabad has an impressive 40% real occupancy rate, the highest among all regions listed. Kolkata isn’t far behind with ₹1.36 crore in gross and a real occupancy of 43%.
